1. General terms and conditions
Verkkokoulu.com is a commercial learning environment owned by Verkkokoulu.com Suomi Oy, business ID 2575750-1. These terms of agreement are applied to the commercial relationship between Verkkokoulu.com Suomi Oy and its customers. Verkkokoulu.com Suomi Oy has a right to update these terms of agreement without advance notice. The terms of agreement, which are valid when the order is being placed, are applied to the orders. These terms of agreement are available on the website of Verkkokoulu.com.
A person who registers for a course assures that the personal details given are the personal details of the person taking the course and that such person takes the course independently. Taking a course on behalf of another person is prohibited and contrary to these terms of agreement.
Online training service products (digital contents) do not have a right of cancellation in accordance with the Finnish Consumer Protection Act (kuluttajansuojalaki) if the service has been carried out in full or if the delivery of the digital contents electronically has begun (user credentials have been sent to the customer).
The user credentials will be sent within one business day from the order. The card granted for taking the course will be mailed when the course has been passed and the course fee has been paid (concerns payment by means of PDF invoice and e-invoice).

The purpose of the processing of personal data is to carry out the customer relationship and service relationship, to execute the rights and obligations of the customer and Verkkokoulu.com Suomi Oy as well as to process the personal data for purposes related to electronic online services in accordance with the Finnish Personal Data Act.
The purpose of use of the data file is to maintain the customer register of Verkkokoulu.com Suomi Oy, to archive and process the customers’ orders and to manage the customer relationship. The data file has been compiled from the data system of Verkkokoulu.com Suomi Oy and from publically available internet sources.
2.8 Regular disclosures of data
The controller may disclose personal details of customers to outside parties for the carrying out and development of customer service and to Finnish authorities when so required.
The data in the data file are only available to Verkkokoulu.com Suomi Oy, except when Verkkokoulu.com Suomi Oy uses an external service provider either for the production of a value-added service or as support of a credit decision. However, no information is disclosed outside Verkkokoulu.com Suomi Oy or to the use of its partners, except for matters related to credit applications, collection purposes or invoicing as well as when legislation so requires. No personal information is transferred outside the European Union unless this is necessary for ensuring technical implementation by Verkkokoulu.com Suomi Oy or its partner.

3. Delivery and right of use of service
The user right and usage agreement begin when a customer has bought a course and the course has been activated or when Verkkokoulu.com Suomi Oy has delivered the user credentials to the user. The user right given for an online course is absolutely personal. The disclosure of the user credentials to a third party is prohibited. It is prohibited to log in to the training pages using the user credentials of others. A course participant’s user right includes the right to use the course materials to complete the course and to print the support material. Verkkokoulu.com Suomi Oy maintains a personal data file of the persons who have registered for a course, including their contact details and course results, as enabled by the Finnish Personal Data Act (henkilötietolaki 523/1999). Verkkokoulu.com Suomi Oy reserves the right to use the data file for the development of the services as well as for communication and marketing purposes.
The user agrees to use the service in accordance with law, good practice and this agreement. The user is responsible for the personal use of the service in accordance with the terms and conditions.
4. Copyright
Verkkokoulu.com Suomi Oy has a copyright to all course materials in accordance with the valid Finnish Copyright Act (tekijänoikeuslaki 1961/404). The use, copying, printing, screen capture, saving, modification, delivery to third parties and translation into other languages of the materials without the written permission of Verkkokoulu.com Suomi Oy is prohibited. The support material can be printed for personal use.
5. Rights and obligations of the service provider and limitations in these
Verkkokoulu.com Suomi Oy’s online service is offered as it is, and no guarantee is given as to the functionality of the service on the client’s terminal equipment. The service provider reserves the right to change the service, its availability and the hardware requirements.
The service provider is not liable to the user or to a third party for any potential errors or deficiencies in the service or for any direct or indirect damage or loss resulting from the use or interpretation of the information.
The service provider is not liable for any damage or loss that may result from the functioning of the service or from the failure of the service to function. The service provider is not liable for any direct or indirect damage or loss caused by potential technical failures, malfunctions, interruptions or similar instances in the service. Potential disturbances in the services will be corrected as soon as possible.
Verkkokoulu.com Suomi Oy is not responsible for any damage or loss caused by force majeure. Force majeure is considered to include any unforeseeable circumstance or a change of circumstances beyond the control of Verkkokoulu.com Suomi Oy. Verkkokoulu.com Suomi Oy is obliged to inform the customer of any force majeure without delay.
6. Price list
The prices of the courses are indicated in the course description. The prices include value-added tax. The estimated activation (delivery time) of the courses is presented in conjunction with the course presentations. For invoicing customers, the term of payment is 14 days for the net amount unless otherwise agreed in writing.
7. Payment
Up-to-date information on the payment methods can be found on the course presentation pages of Verkkokoulu.com. Corporate customers have the possibility to apply for a status of invoicing customer through the e-mail address [email protected].
8. Cancellation
Online training service products (digital contents) do not have a right of cancellation in accordance with the Finnish Consumer Protection Act if the service has been carried out in full or if the delivery of the digital contents electronically has begun after the customer has given consent to the launching of delivery and if the lack of right of cancellation has been communicated in advance.
9. Complaints
The customer is obliged to provide proof of purchase, a receipt or other certificate when the customer is cancelling or returning the service or product or when filing a complaint about a defect in the service or product. Verkkokoulu.com Suomi Oy reserves the right to charge the costs of finding the receipt from the customer.
Complaints are processed in writing only. A free-format complaint can be sent, provided with signature, either by e-mail to address [email protected] or to postal address Verkkokoulu.com Suomi Oy, Kelkkailijantie 4 A 26, 70200 KUOPIO, FINLAND.
10. Settling of disputes and place of jurisdiction
If a user is found to have acted contrary to the terms of the service – for example by using the course multimedia of Verkkokoulu.com Suomi Oy contrary to the terms and conditions or by giving the user credentials or other access right or materials to third parties – the service provider can charge from the user the amount lost by Verkkokoulu.com Suomi Oy added by 50%. Any abuse and vandalism (such as unnecessary orders, disturbing of telecommunications, attempts of data security breaches) of this electronic service are reported to the authorities. The laws of Finland are applied to this agreement.
If a third party initiates a legal process or other claim against the service provider where the legal process or claim is directed at the user’s or customer’s operations, the customer is responsible for the costs incurred by the service provider as a result of this.
Potential disputes must primarily be settled through mutual negotiations between the parties. If no consensus is reached in these negotiations, the dispute must be settled in a court of law in accordance with Finnish law.
Settling of disputes and place of jurisdiction: A consumer customer has a right to subject disputes arising out of this agreement for settlement by the Finnish Consumer Disputes Board (www.kuluttajariita.fi). Prior to subjecting the matter to the Consumer Disputes Board, the consumer must contact the Consumer Advisory Service of Local Register Offices (www.kuluttajaneuvonta.fi). If the customer does not have a residence in Finland, the disputes will be settled at the district court of the registered office of Verkkokoulu.com Suomi Oy.
Attorneys’ expenses are not compensated, because the Consumer Advisory Service and the Consumer Disputes Board provide free of charge assistance for the solving of disputes.
11. Additional terms and conditions for corporate customers
Verkkokoulu.com Suomi Oy is not liable for any direct or indirect loss, damage or loss of income caused by the product and/or service. Verkkokoulu.com Suomi Oy’s liability for damages is always limited to the content of these terms and conditions. The liability for product defect is limited to the potential repayment of the purchase price minus the utilised benefit.
Verkkokoulu.com Suomi Oy is not required to comply with the agreement if it faces a force majeure event that it cannot reasonably overcome. Verkkokoulu.com Suomi Oy is not obliged to compensate to the customer any damage or costs incurred by the customer in the event of force majeure, and Verkkokoulu.com Suomi Oy is entitled to terminate the agreement.
When the customer submits an order and/or a request for a quote, the customer undisputedly accepts the terms and conditions of Verkkokoulu.com Suomi Oy. Potential purchase agreement terms and conditions used by the customer are not applied if they conflict with the terms and conditions of agreement of Verkkokoulu.com Suomi Oy unless the customer’s terms and conditions are specifically accepted in writing.
